A man that went from excited happy and curious about the world around him, broken by a sense of duty and the need to help others. Even when they didnt want that help. 8 is never given the true credit he deserves, as while the War Doctor did fight the war, 8 made the final decision to go against every last fibre of his being as well as everything he believed in and chose to become the War Doctor. Sacrificing himself and everything that made him him, just to stop more death.
